Even though I’m more than a bit behind on my reviews, I already have another book on the docket for next week. This time around I’ll be reading Christoph Zürcher’s The Post-Soviet Wars: Rebellion, Ethnic Conflict, and Nationhood in the Caucasus.
This book, along with de Waal’s Black Garden should give me a better background in exploring the contentious case of Nagorno-Karabakh as well as a deeper insight into the region as a whole. Look out for a brief review of Black Garden in the next few days and a review of Zürcher’s book by next week.
This should be a fun few days as I tackle my first real full week of class this quarter with three undergraduate sections to lead to boot! Wish me luck… please.
